Biography
Timothy McCaskey is an Associate Professor in the Science and Mathematics Department, where he teaches physics courses. He has worked at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ since 2010, and before that, he taught high school math and physics for four years. His latest projects include a study of how students use notecards to prepare for and take physics exams, an analysis of data from a larger university physics class involving how students translate physics knowledge between different representations, and composition/presentation of music based on fractals, cellular automata, and astronomy. He holds B.S. degrees in physics and mathematics from Michigan State University and a Ph.D. in Physics (with a focus on physics education research) from the University of Maryland, College Park.
