Osmond SiLA Success Award

for continuing undergraduate and graduate students

The Osmond SiLA Success Award was established to assist with financial need who are participating in ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ’s Semester in LA program with expenses not included in the cost of tuition. Please note: Students who apply to a Semester in LA Program Semester in LA application deadline will automatically be considered for this scholarship upon acceptance into the program.

• How to be Considered

  No separate application is required.

  • All students who apply to a Semester in LA program by the early Semester in LA application deadline will automatically be considered for this scholarship upon acceptance into the program.
  • Please visit the Semester in LA website for application information.

  Students must apply for Semester in LA to be considered for the scholarship.

• Scholarship Terms
  • Amount of this one-semester award is a stipend up to $2,500
  • Recipient must enroll at full-time status in the Semester in LA program
  • Recipient may receive the scholarship only during the semester in which they live in LA as part of the Semester in LA program and before they graduate
  • Students who elect not to attend the Semester in LA program will forfeit the scholarship
  • Recipient must adhere to the policies and procedures that are unique to the Semester in LA program
  • Scholarship is limited to courses for which a student registers through MyColumbia
  • Recipient will be asked to participate in thanking the donor(s)
  • The rules and regulations governing other sources of financial aid (federal, state, institutional and other grants, gifts, or loans) will apply
  • ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ reserves the right to withhold the scholarship in any year in which, at the sole discretion of the scholarship committee, suitable candidates cannot be found among applicants
